Farewell to Mastodon

I've been on the Fediverse for nearly 8 years now. I think it's time to stop. Of course this is going to have a negative effect on the reach whatever I'm going to do in the future would have as I no longer have this platform, but I believe it's necessary to do this, even if nothing else other than my personal mental health is going to benefit from this.

Mastodon is a mostly far-left space and the Mastodon Server Covenant is inherently a joke for centrist politics. One cannot force himself to live among the kind of people who consider using a so-called "bad word" is an unforgivable sin but being extremely rude towards people you don't know is somehow a form of self-expression and is thus empowering. This is not a "you're just angry because you didn't get to say slurs" issue; to suppress one's ways to express frustration and anger is nothing short of an oppression tactic deployed by an authoritarian regime. You'd thought that they themselves would know this since they're some of the most likely people to get into an argument with their parents in their adolescence and couldn't retaliate because of the natural powerlessness of a kid, and in almost any regards angers that you can't properly dissipate always hurt the most; but it seems like once they realized that they can become the quote-unquote "oppressive" side either as an individual or as a part of a so-called "marginalized" group, they are more than glad to force the part of their lives that they used to hate the most upon everyone they don't like or agree with.

I must state here very clearly: this article is not written to justify the support and propogate of hate; all I'm calling for is the recognition of the proper dissipation of anger as a basic human right from the group of people whose doings have contributed to one of the most sterile and heavily-regulated period of modern era, and I'm not calling for it for the sake of the mental health of my own but also for the sake of the mental health of these exact people: one would've clearly seen at least once in their lifetimes that words like "Fascist" or "Nazi" or "Cishet" are never as cathartic than some of the "slur"s; it's not only their ideology requires them to be perpetual victims, the language they use also won't allow them to truly put their victimness behind. To willingly put on chains is not a way to progress, much like going into a dead-end alleyway is not a way to reach your destination; I sincerely believe and thus hereby claim that at the current stage it's only through the true liberation of the language we speak can we truly move forward.
